I think that's his thread wraps if you notice I think he's using a weedless bass hook

I am usually hesitant to post flies here. I tie for fishing, not for show, so mine don't look so good in comparison. I am not embarrassed to show them ... more like, "As long as I hang out with people uglier than I am, I look pretty good."

"But, put me in a crowd of pretty, young people ... and suddenly, I am a worn out, old guy."

Anyway ... I ran out of my favorite fly, my "Panfish Attractor". Had to tie replacements for me, and a few to give to a friend who's loaning me some equipment. Since I so rarely tie such a quantity, I had to take a picture.

Even here I don't measure up to you guys who have boxes and boxes of flies. But it suits my style.

I don't know what happened to my previous post......it's flying around with the other electrons in a dark hole somewhere. Your favorite panfish lures look a lot like clouser minnows, then again, maybe that's just me. I don't know enough to know the names of all these different ties as is. If they catch what your after, then they are good!!!

I can't remember who posted this on instagram the other day, but man did it look like a very convincing tie. So I tried my hand at it, a deer hair emerger with some cdc and boot body.

Time off the water due to unfavorable forecasts, and spending some quality time with the missus.

Still equates to some productive time at the bench.

tied up a few sparse #1 clousers today, along with a couple of #6 crustaceans... Last night it was tenkara that was on my mind....

m_grieb,

Nice looking fly! What size eyes did you use if I may ask?

Thank you!!

um... to be honest with you I just grabbed what I thought looked good. I got them from fly tyers dungeon so they aren't labeled... my best guess is 8mm.

A bunch of recent ties from the vise...

All except the couple of tenkara ties I tried the other night.
