Harold Ray 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2015 Nearly a year ahead; Make Your Plans to Join Us November 4-6, 2016 Welcome again to the North Toledo Bend Rendezvous! The date is Friday afternoon, November 4th thru Sunday morning, November 6th, 2016. Rendezvous is the result of several fly fishermen gathering to fish and tie flies at the state park many years ago. After a couple of years of growing pains they found the park's group facility. And what a facility indeed! A capacity of 150 people in 5 heated log bunkhouses (30 beds each), a heated central shower and restroom building with nice night lighting on all the sidewalks and a large main log building with A/C, a commercial kitchen, dining hall, fireplace, a long front porch, picnic table and a large barbeque trailer out front. Rendezvous 2016 Reservations have been made: November 4th through November 6th. http://pages.suddenlink.net/w/Rendez/indexR.html
mikechell 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2015 If my company send me to Houston with that weekend in there, I'll be there. But I won't know that until next Summer.
Harold Ray 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2015 Something to start working on, Mike. This year we had around 55 to 60 people , men and women, but mostly men, probably 85 to 90% to 10 to 15%, there from Friday afternoon at 3:00 pm until around 9:30 am Sunday morning, and then, we all headed out. The parks in Louisiana have great facilities, meeting hall with included kitchen. There is always a lot of food, and there are multiple sleeping units, designated for men, women, couples, and families. It works great. Ray

Harold Ray 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2015 Thats a long way from Long Island, N.Y. sounds like a great time though... Yes, it is a long way, but there are 3 reasons for you to come: you could learn the entire world isn't covered with tall buildings; we will feed you well, and that is why they began building airplanes!! mikechell 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2015 Unfortunately, Joseph, I can't make any plans until I know the schedule. If I end up with NOTHING going on those weeks before and after, I might be interested. But I would also rather plan it as a road trip with fishing and making a vacation out of it.
