bear-kodiak 0 Report post Posted December 27, 2015 Hello: Does anyone have an instruction sheet that comes with these McKenzie lights. I would like to get an extra bulb and also see how to remove the old one when necessary. Thank you and Happy Holidays....jim
mikechell 0 Report post Posted December 27, 2015 Bearsden sells bulbs ... but none of the lights look like the one you pictured. If there's any company information on the lamp, you can type in: company name lamp part number "parts catalog" or "parts breakdown" Maybe even "bulb replacement" That might get you the information you seek. flytire 0 Report post Posted December 27, 2015 since the bulb is replaceable can you remove (unscrew, pull off) the metal part covering the bulb? is the bulb itself accessible?
whatfly 0 Report post Posted December 28, 2015 The manufacturer is long extinct, but I had one of those and I would recommend dumping it as fast as possible. The lamp uses halogen bulb and that head is so hot it will melt anything it touches. I had a buddy accidentally hit his own lamp with his forehead and it darn near branded him. For what it is worth, I think the bulb just pops and here is a web site that lists the part#: http://www.fishusa.com/product/McKenzie-Vise-Light-and-Replacement-Bulbs
planettrout 0 Report post Posted December 28, 2015 I had one of those lights with the other head, about 12 years ago. I bought it specifically to use and tie with on the road. Let's see, it went South on me and would not work, even with a replacement bulb, in Absarokee, MT. It found a home in the local trash bin... This is the replacement bulb for yours which pushes in and pulls out...the 10W... http://www.amazon.com/CBconcept-10XG412V10W-Halogen-10-Watt-12-Volt/dp/730000105X PT/TB
