Chuck McFarlane 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2016 Decided to join a Carp fly swap my buddy was organizing. I've never fished for them nor tied carp flies but I kind of just came up with one based on what I've seen. I think it came out pretty decent. Might have to start going after a few. Nice looking patterns JacksonK. I fish carp quite a bit and I'm very confident your patterns will produce. Give them a go and get into some gold! mikechell 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2016 Thank you, Flafly ... I think it's from sitting in a hotel room. I gotta admit, the flies I tie when I have nothing else to do, make me realize how some of the REALLY GOOD guys get that good. I reckon there's nothing like several months a year of cold driven captivity to sharpen your skills at the vise.

mikechell 0 Report post Posted January 14, 2016 Well, I am in Chicago ... surrounded by this white stuff. All the water here is so polluted you can walk across it, I guess. It's very hard with no visible flow ... I don't understand !!! I'll be back in Florida, where the water acts like water, in February. I'll let you know something, then.
