Robert M 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2016 Who has tried them? What are your thoughts on usability for tying. Photos top to bottom .5 oz Blaze 4 oz Aurora Both above compared to standard dubbing package.
Goduster 0 Report post Posted January 4, 2016 I mix it up with my dubbing, and makes some great simi seal leaches, as well as some other patterns
whatfly 0 Report post Posted January 4, 2016 Tried it but thought it was cut too large for my taste. Much prefer Ice Wing Fiber and Ice Dub, which is just a bit finer, but YMMV.
Piker20 0 Report post Posted January 4, 2016 Always thought this was the same stuff as Angel hair in the fly shop but no where near the price? Great for adding flash in soft winged flies like goat and fox.
whatfly 0 Report post Posted January 4, 2016 Nope. Angel Hair is even finer than Ice Wing, so again Angelina is not a very useful substitute.
Robert M 0 Report post Posted January 4, 2016 From what I can tell it's the same as Lite Brite It's the same size or damn close to the hank of angel hair I have. Wonder if it varies in size
essequamvideri 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2016 OK, this was an odd thing to try. I was tying some deer hair bass bugs I kept adding some Angelina as I spun and stacked the hair. It added an interesting sparkle to it. I made them into earrings. Only negative was cutting it. Really tough on a razor blade. Michael
