Chia 0 Report post Posted January 29, 2016 Anyone know of a simple articulated fly for bass? Step by step preferred. Thanks.
mikechell 0 Report post Posted January 29, 2016 Is there a reason you want articulated? A good rabbit strip or craft fur fly would give you as much, maybe even more movement than an articulated.
Chia 0 Report post Posted January 29, 2016 I have seen people talk about them and thought I would try one. I have never tied rabbit or craft fur.
josephcsylvia 0 Report post Posted January 29, 2016 If you want to try the motion of an articulated fly thats easy to tie try a double woolly bugger just throw some dumbell eyes on the bottom of the front hook to give it some movement! Tie your normal bugger for the back hook and for the front hook use maybe a schlappen for a little bulk

IgotWood 0 Report post Posted January 29, 2016 There are hundreds of tutorials on youtube, and vimeo. Just search, "articulated streamer" and pick on that you like. They are simple enough to follow. Good luck!

josephcsylvia 0 Report post Posted January 30, 2016 thanks. i will try the buggers and research.Yea the buggers are easy to tie, you can take in a step further and tie a sex dungeon which is basically two buggers with legs and a deer hair head. Braided line works great for a connection use two or three beads and most importantly done pull the loop too tight, Mikes meal ticket is another good pattern. grizzly27 0 Report post Posted January 30, 2016 Yep, double wooly bugger with weighted eyes on the front. It will give the fly a jigging motion.
