Video Editor Software

Recommended Posts

What you using, mac or windows? I dont have much experience with windows, but from the little experience i do have i know that windows movie maker is a good choice.

As for mac, i would highly recommend GoPro Studios. Unless you are looking into make some very advance films it will be just fine. I like it because it is simple to use, and produces great results. It is basic enough that you wont get overloaded with so many different features leaving you confused, yet advanced enough that you will be able to make a very good film.

I have used gopro studio. However be careful because it can crash and sometimes gliches and loses your 8 hours of editing EVEN AFTER YOU SAVE. I use movie maker now. Simple, easy, and gets the job done.

What are you shooting on? I have found with the new smartphones they can be a stop shop. My 11 year old shoots and edits most of our videos on my work iPhone (iMovie is free). I also have found good quality apps on android that are free. Many post a water mark in the corner, but Adobe has a simple premier program that is free as well. I use premiere at work, but that is only because we are pc based. When I am home I leave all the frills behind and just use the phone.

Hope this helps.

If you have an iPhone, use the included free iMovie. If you are on a Mac, again, use iMovie.

I use it on my Mac laptop just about everyday for work (newspaper photographer) and it is ridiculously simple to use and produces great videos.
