Bugsy 0 Report post Posted March 25, 2016 That's a great representation of a beetle. Fine tying skill and good eye. I'm sure I'm not the only one who would like some info on materials and techniques used. Thanks for posting.
Micke.H 0 Report post Posted March 26, 2016 Thanks, and here is the recipe Hook;curved hook size 12 Tread;black uni 8/0 Legs; Black small wire as I bent to resemble legs and antennae Body; Black foam I tie in the foam back of the hook and tie it down on the hook to the body shape I want, bigger to the end of the hook and smaller to the head you can cut it like this () then I have used dark gray dub to the body under the foam between the legs,I stroke some clear lacquer on the foam and let it dry and so it looks like a hard shell Eyes; Burnt nylon painted whit black lacquer you can change the color of the foam and legs and you get different bugs I hope it was understandable ?
