Neat fly from Hans Stephenson; easy to tie. Video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ppefsljyVI shows a cool way to keep the legs out of the way while wrapping the body.

hook - Mustad 3407 #4

thread - UTC 140 burnt orange

eyes - brass dumbell medium

body - Estaz rootbeer

legs - medium rubber cream (marked with brown/red Sharpie)

weedguard - deer hair

Regards,

Scott

Loren William's F-Fly variation; the "Plus" is the foam back, for a bit more buoyancy. Tied here as a Flav; change colors/size to suit your needs.

thread - Danville 6/0 light olive

tail - hackle barbs dun

rib - Uni-stretch yellow

abdomen - dubbing light olive

shellback - 1mm foam olive

wing - CDC dun

hackle - CDC dun (fibers in split-thread loop wrapped as hackle)

Regards,

Scott
