That shrimp looks awesome!!! But will it not just flip upside down? It looks like a regular hook with no keel weight to hold it upright like that. Still looks great thought!

I have tied in a good amount of leadwire on the underside, so i hope it will stay point up

LOVE this one. I fish a lot of Picket Pin's and variations I've concocted over the years or seen on line... this is simple, elegant and I'm sure a ripping fish catcher. I'm excited to tie a bunch of these up FlyTier! Thanks for posting!

hook - Dai Riki 320 #12

thread - Danville 6/0 brown

tail - badger hackle fibers

rear hackle - badger (undersize by 2)

mid hackle - grizzly dyed brown

front hackle - Indian Hen (reverse tied)

A LOT of great flies so far this month. SB, I guess you could call that a Trivisable.

 

I had a go at a reverse tied Cahill of sorts.

As you can probably tell ...I don't tie a lot of minnows

This one is weighted with lead free wire to help get it down a little quicker than if unweighted.
