mikechell 0 Report post Posted March 27, 2016 Oooo ... I wonder if I can find a trail camera for cheap???
saltydancindave 0 Report post Posted March 27, 2016 Priced trail cameras decades ago to see if there was a way to put a stop to people breaking into the vehicle & stealing fishing gear while wet wading out in the middle of a river. They seem to be so inexpensive now compared to buying one or getting 3 new outfits back then. They were somewhat larger & probably would have just been stolen too off the dash; but then again maybe thieves would have left the fishing tackle altogether. mikechell 0 Report post Posted March 27, 2016 Looks like I can get a trail camera for about $70.00. That's a lot of money to protect "free" signs. We might get one, since we've thought about putting one up in our "park" anyway ... maybe.
Fisherboy0301 0 Report post Posted March 27, 2016 You can make a "land mine" of paint with an old tin can, a soda bottle, a grill lighter, and hairspray. Won't hurt them either. I'll find the video I watched.
Fisherboy0301 0 Report post Posted March 27, 2016 I would sub the bottle for a 2liter, the spray for hairspray, and the baking soda for paint. Enjoy! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=aIx0UhxVPFU
skeet3t 0 Report post Posted March 28, 2016 There is a place south of town that has a fence around the property. The signs on the gate and fence read: No trespassing! Trespassers will be shot. No warning given! How's that for being specific?
Worstcaster 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2016 You can find trail cameras cheaper on then $70 on ebay. I didn't look long but saw one for $30.
mikechell 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2016 Yeah, I saw those, Worst. But again ... just gives them something else to steal. I put a security light out there ... hasn't happened since.
DrVette 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2016 Maybe you could setup a blue die bomb to go off when they touch your signs. Then all you would have to do is look for Smurfs. All joking aside, it's bullshit that someone as to mess with your freedom of speech. Steeldrifter may have a good idea. Setup the GoPro along with No Trespassing signs. Then you would have proof and could have them arrested not only for stealing but for trespassing also. Oh lovely day! Under Colorado law doing something like this is a felony interfering with elections...it means you never get to vote again or hold most public positions and then some...Catch em on camera and they loose their voice for life in Colorado. mikechell 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2016 It's illegal in all 50 States. Two problems with that, though. 1) The cops have more important things to do than trying to find simpletons like this. 2) The person or persons that stole the signs probably doesn't even vote. They stand by their view of the world, that they are victims, but never actually do anything to help themselves out. Losing the ability to vote isn't really a threat to that type. As I said in the previous post, I've not had anymore issues since putting the light up. Just proves that the culprit is, indeed, a coward.
