Is it wrong?

Is it wrong that I just spent 9 days in Arizona from the Hoover dam to Sedona, to Prescott to Phoenix and did not spend one minute fishing or visiting a fly shop. I hiked miles of oak creek and did not wet a line. In fact I did not pack one fishing item for the trip.

 

I'm fortunate to have a wife that lets me do and go as I please all year long. She even encouraged me to go fishing while we were there. I just figure when it's time to spend time with the old gal it's time to spend time with her and I can fish the next 358 days if I care to.

Nope, nothing wrong with that.

Spent two weeks in Alaska a few years ago. Wife and I went ... probably the only time we'll ever go there. Never even thought about fishing while I was there. Wife and I have too much fun being together, I don't need fishing when we're sight seeing.

 

Like you said ... plenty of opportunities to fish near home.

Closest I got to fishing was buying a Tilly hat and a shirt that says here fishy fishy.

Fishing is a hobby. It's fun, but it's just a hobby. Wife doesn't fish, so when I am with her, neither do I.

Whoops my math was wrong. The next 356 days is the correct number. Yep I have no desire to run from the wife on vacation to do something I can do anytime. The good news is she wants an RV so we can spend months at a time out west. The better news is that as she stated "I want a wiz bang one not one that you would by for yourself."
