Wondering about super hair on dries.

So I was looking on youtube and came across a tier who tied up a parachute adams with super hair for the abdomen. It looks like cravens juju flies, and when I saw it naturally I wanted to try it out, what I want to know is has anyone else done this? Is there a cheaper alternative to super hair? I found wapsi Supreme hair but is there anything else? (pretty much broke at this point now). I remember reading that thread color really matters too since the hair is translucent. So I'm guessing I can get away with a few colors of super hair.

Super Hair is pretty darn cheap, and also appears under the names "Supreme Hair" and "Ultra Hair". Have used it as ribs on dries, but would personally be reluctant to use it as an abdomen because it is pretty heavy, but obviously it can be done. There seem to be some cheap alternatives on ebay, but I cannot speak to the merits of any, so caveat emptor.

Some people refer to this as Doll Hair because of its use in children's toys. Got any barbie's or other dolls that need a haircut?
