Freddo 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2016 Hi - Maybe you've started buying tools already... If not, check out Dr. Slick. If I had only one (1) pair, it would be the all purpose 4" period. My collection grew over my first year tying but mostly Dr. Slick tools. I'm absolutely sure I'd like other brands after trying them but until these poop out, I'm all set. bass master 0 Report post Posted November 1, 2016 I bought a set of cheap china tools off E bay. They all work fine. And see no reason for name brand tools. The only up grade I will buy is a ceramic tip bobbin. Or a smooth old broken- in bobbin. Cant tell you how frustrating it is to break the tread tying. vicente 0 Report post Posted November 1, 2016 Love my ceramic bobbin for easier to bra threads, I like my cheap one for gsp when I'm doing deer hair work, also keeps me from gunking up my ceramic one.
