Mike, did you put all those rubber legs in a loop?

Nope...Kind of spun them like you would do deer hair. But I have done that before. Make like a rubber brush with a loop.

... and a first attempt at some kind of nymph, on a #12 hook.

 

I think I am at the point where my poor photography skills won't let you appreciate my flies in all their imperfections... :)

Don't worry Bimini, our photo skills are good for hiding the bad bits! But just when you think you've tied a good fly or taken a good photo, Kimo will come along with one of his spinny pictures!:-)

Here ya go...a fly I did years ago like you refer too..caught a few fish on it...tied like 3-4 and never did it again.

Retro's Nasty Buggers

Those look great retro could I get a recipe?

 

I thought these were pretty cool...harder to tie than described. I did a few and caught fish but they aren't as pretty as the poster tied.
