retrocarp 0 Report post Posted October 25, 2016 Elongated slider. Like Sneaky Pete told lies and his nose grew, sort of thing. I tired to do something like that. awhile back..shooting for a Zara Spook action. I think yours might have came out a little better. Yep, I cracked that code last year. Where can I buy me some of those? ... they are awesome top baits !! Our Native species will go ballistic over these. Regards Retro Look up Looper Flies. Sam Looper is selling them, I don't have time to tie and sell them. I've helped Sam get them tied exactly the way I tie them and he's cranking them out pretty often. He does good work, look him up. Thanks Bud I will

Mike West 0 Report post Posted October 26, 2016 Pretty cool guys...makes me want to go spin some deer hair. Here some old ones I did back in like the late 80's messing around trying to duplicate conventional lures at the time. I've posted some of these before Rattle Trap Flat Fish Jitter Bug Rapala Few other experiments.

Adam Saarinen 0 Report post Posted October 26, 2016 Thanks vicente! Your wright about them using a lot of deerhair! The lip was a pain to stack, pak & trim around!
vicente 0 Report post Posted October 26, 2016 Thanks vicente! Your wright about them using a lot of deerhair! The lip was a pain to stack, pak & trim around! I'm sure it was trimming then up perfect is one of the hardest things for me. Counted it out there are 29 stacks of hair in mine, first time over really wanted to take a break in the middle of a fly. I put 2 pieces of lead wire in it and paper clip to keep it stiff. I only used my packer 3 times since the shank of to big I hand pack a lot anyways. Bimini15 0 Report post Posted October 27, 2016 Not sure what to call this. I was practicing the twisted hackle palmering I saw in one of the flyfishfood videos and I found myself with a nice looking bunch of fibers on a shank. A little Kraken dubbing, a little foam and two rubber legs later I had this.

Dave G. 0 Report post Posted October 27, 2016 TheCream - Very Kool - I see monster Brown Trout in your future. The streamer isn't that big, really. The goal was a downsized Game Changer with max motion I could throw on a light rod for some of the larger creek bass I find near home. This fly is 3" on the nose and 3wt castable. OK - but a 3" fly dwarfs most of my trout flies with the exception of some zonkers and a half dozen streamers. There is a new article on catching monster browns in Cape Cod kettle ponds on the OnTheWater home page. The article isn't even FF related but one can easily connect the dots and replace top water plugs with perchy looking flies fished after dusk starting this time of the year. Your game changer made me think of that article I had just read since half my fishing has been in my head lately. Don't even tell me OTW put out an article on that !! Here comes the invasion of all my fishing holes with hardware fisherman no less..
