Those little darlin's are deadly in this neck of the woods. I tie them in many different colors and sizes down to 16 for the little wild trout in local streams. :)

Having a brace on my arm for two weeks after carpel tunnel and ulnar nerve surgery has made me a little crabby.

Thanks Poopdeck.

My right hand fingers wouldn't allow me to dub or tie the hair so I laid out some about an inch long and did some welding with CCG, then trimmed it and welded the carapace onto the hook. A bit messy but it worked. The blue hackles and legs and eyes were pretty easy to tie on.

Not really sure what part of the developmental process it's supposed to represent, but it's sure is different. A very cool vid (he has a ton of them)

Even in Italian, the tying sequence is easy to follow.

thread - Danville 6/0 olive

body - mylar medium opal

underwing - partridge

wing - deer hair

head - dubbing olive

Scott

Reversed grizzly hackle orientation (tip-tied, folded) to get a more swept-back appearance. Tied here as a Flav; change color/size to suit your needs.
