CM_Stewart 0 Report post Posted November 5, 2016 I have a friend who won't fish an egg pattern because "it isn't a fly." This is for Jason, the Partridge & Orange (widebody).

mvendon 0 Report post Posted November 5, 2016 Hi CM Stewart, Tie him up some Orange Otters too. Looking at the history of that fly and how it was fished, it seems to be an egg pattern way before the term was even coined or thought of. FKROW 0 Report post Posted November 5, 2016 Chris, Very cool pattern, thanks for posting. If you add JC eyes will it be a classic salmon fly? Regards, FK
rstaight 0 Report post Posted November 5, 2016 Awesome, I love it. I have a friend who claims to be a dry fly purist. But he makes no bones about letting an Elk Hair Caddis get water logged and fishing it as a wet.
