Fly Tying

Recommended Posts

Back to the Pattern in question. I like it. I like it so well, I have been fishing it in black for about 30 years. Works well for trout in the big western lakes, and also for musky, and bass. I never use more than 2 turns around the shank and it casts ok for me.

Good Lord. Every time I start thinking I'm a little bit F'd up in the head, all I have to do is come here for an attitude adjustment.

I might also call this fly the Dust Bunny because one person said it looks like a feather duster and it uses rabbit zonkers. Probably a better name than kezar killer.

Just keep fishing, tying, and posting. You will get better at all if you hang in there. Carry On..

I tried using this fly for brook trout ( and yes where I live the brook trout eat crazily big minnows) and I found out that it casts surprisingly well. This fly also looks like a sand eel when wet so I guess I'll have to use it as a teaser in front a kastmaster when surfcasting.

Great news. Would enjoy catching a few brookies big and bold enough to eat that fly. I have caught many that are smaller than the Kezar Killer, but they were tasty morsels, fresh from pure waters to the pan...Keep posting
