What a start of the month, some really lovely flies there :)

I just played with some classic colours and marabou.

Not going to fish these, they are going to a friend, then he can try if he wants to.

Adam,

How do you find those Magic Heads work? My experience has been that they have actually inverted over the head of the fly in fast water or when ripping the fly while trolling. I havn't tied with them in over a couple of years now but think I will give them another good effort next season.

To be honest, i bought 1 packet of R11's years ago, tied the Niklaus Bauer seatrout fly paturn, before he became pike bum, had the eye so deep i couldn't thread it! Saved em like gold, tied Daniel D Holm's black skater while ago, not used yet! Found em in the bargin bin on saturday & bought two packets! Haven't fished any of them yet, but i'm leaving the hook eye at the end of the magic head now when i use them!

Working on a set of Blue Doctors, as you can see: I work on them in stages when I'm in the mood :)

Those are amazing! I bet they'd fish great without the fancy married wing too. Both ways looks good man! :D

It is already in the material.

Look for estaz chenille, ice chenille, polar chenille and others for variations on the same idea.

Some are long enough that can replace both the chenille and the hackle.

Here is a sample:
