Piker20 0 Report post Posted December 22, 2016 You noticed that two Eide. Looks a great pattern for spring/autumn here in UK. Interesting and unusual that it doesn't have black anywhere. I have this on my list for 2017 with maybe a furnace hackle in the wing for a dark touch.
Dave G. 0 Report post Posted December 22, 2016 Guess who's thinking about that two weight glass blank that's waiting to be finished? Hmmmmm ... Mila Kunis??? Nah. Kicked her to the curb. She was way too clingy and required way too much affection. I'm too old for that stuff. High maintenance.

FoamSpider 0 Report post Posted December 23, 2016 nice to see somebody "experimenting" with different materials and coming up with different flies Someone made all the flies we are very familiar with. If a new pattern works well then it can be refined into something better. Otherwise, it gets trashed. Though, there's really not much new under the sun. Some cool looking bugs FoamSpider. Very buggy bug JP, me likey. Thanks.
johnnyquahog 0 Report post Posted December 24, 2016 This deer hair stacked on top of wool is on a #2/0 Mustad C70SD hook. I had this wool on the hide sitting in a drawer for 20+ years so thought I'd give it a try. It is not an easy material to work with or trim.

Saltybum 0 Report post Posted December 24, 2016 Johnny, that's my favorite fly for jumbo sea trout on the flats but I've never used wool in mine and I definitely also use the grizzly hackles in the tail. Hmmm, may have to pull out the vise now.
