rstaight 0 Report post Posted December 29, 2016 Mike, The body is probably acting like a rudder. If you could attach some weight along the edge. Something like .01 lead should do it. When I was a kid we would take the tabs off of soda cans (remember them?) and just fold them over the hook. Maybe with a slight twist. put them under a casting float about 3 feet and just let them flutter down. The smallies loved em.
Hazathor 0 Report post Posted December 29, 2016 These are two hookless articulated bait-fish I made to attach to my nephews Christmas gift. Thinking I need to make some fishable versions! Also, the pictures are taken in my new light box... still a cellphone pic though.

j8000 0 Report post Posted December 30, 2016 For the Christmas spirit. The Royal Wullff was slightly used in the photo graph. Actually it ended up getting up getting caught on a weed behind me and was lost for awhile, but I found it just before I left.
j8000 0 Report post Posted December 30, 2016 Oh, and I realize the wings on the Royal Coachman are a little tall. Was the first one I ever tied.

caloosa bug 0 Report post Posted December 31, 2016 I'm really liking the small weedless worm hooks in the grass. Here's the last two nights of tying. A collage of kip tail, Congo, ep, feathers, and flash. All heads and eyes with a small amount of liquid fusion.
