Dubbing Brushes

Recommended Posts

I've been playing around with dubbing brushes, including even making my own. Aside from the EP Brushes, are there any others out there being used on a regular basis that you can recommend?

Thanks!

Rhea feathers, according to April Vokey. It's on the "featured products" that flicker across the top, sometimes.

I just started this to. I only been using craft fur. Adding a little flash here and there. Was going to build my own with a drill or motor. But I set my rotary vice up for this. Dont need more clutter. Its slower but you will have more control.

Deer hair dubbing brushes for sale are easy alternatives for those tiers that have trouble spinning and packing deer hair.

FTD's Kraken dubbing is much easier to work with in a dubbing loop ... so making dubbing brushes with it would be a logical step to speeding up the tying process.

Thanks for all of the info., but I guess I should have clarified; does anyone know of other dubbing brushes available to purchase already made (aside from EP Brushes)? I have been making them for some time, but am doing research for a future video and like to have multiple options for viewers. Thanks again!

The only brushes I have are from grab bags ... I never actually bought one intentionally. Since all three of the ones I have (each from a different purchased bag) are from E. Puglisi, I'll assume there aren't many others who are manufacturing them for sale.

We do have a lot of new chenille with longer fibers and mixed with flash types of materials on softer cotton core.

Essentially does same thing when wound on hook.

The wire central core is not so commonly available, most popular is EP.
