vicrider 0 Report post Posted December 30, 2016 I have a friend who never believed eyes were necessary on jigs until he started fishing under the ice. Superclear water and bait that's not swimming he found out eyes can definitely make a difference in the willingness of walleye and sauger to make the commitment. I generally do eyes on baits but don't feel it's a necessity on moving baits as much. Some swear it can increase your catch, particularly with certain fish, and I've always heard they're most important in salt water but you don't seem to think so.
