breambuster 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2017 Guys, I have been covered up with work, plus battling the "cold of the century" for the past couple of weeks. As a result, I have failed to acknowledge a really nice set of flies. Flat Rock Native's "Partridge And Green" flies have arrived and they are NICE! They don't look much like the picture on the advertising mailer that sparked the birth of this swap, and that is a GOOD thing. I would MUCH rather have Flat Rock Native's fly than the one pictured on the mailer. And you guys are going to like it also. Take care BB
breambuster 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2017 Oh yes, one other thing. Please remember that the due date for this swap is February 20. BB

fishingbobnelson 0 Report post Posted February 14, 2017 Oh yes, one other thing. Please remember that the due date for this swap is February 20. Did you change the due date from the 25th? BB
breambuster 0 Report post Posted February 17, 2017 OK, Guys, Fishingbobnelson's flies are here. And yes, Bob, I was going from memory (faulty) rather than checking the original post. The due date is Feb 25. My mistake. Bob's flies are, of course, VERY nice. He never sends in any bad ones. There are still 2 sets out and we have 8 days left before the due date. Hopefully, the others will be here soon. Take care BB
Decisions 0 Report post Posted February 18, 2017 Looking forward to placing these in my display box. I got all the flies from the first swap I joined in there. It is great to see these flies as I am doing paper work.
stilis 0 Report post Posted February 18, 2017 I dropped my flies in the mail this morning. Should be there on Tuesday or Wednesday.

breambuster 0 Report post Posted February 21, 2017 Hey Guys, Stilis' flies, Royal Wulff's arrived today and as you expect w/ a Stilis-tyed fly, they are EXCELLENT. No self-respecting trout could possibly fail to gulp this one down as soon as he saw it. Jburge's flies should be here by the end of the week. Remember that he joined us late when Josephcsylvia had to drop out. So he gets a pass for being the last swapper to get his flies in. I'm just glad we could get someone of jburge's caliber to step in and help us out at a crucial moment. I will be at a conference this weekend and so it will probably be the first of next week before I get them mailed out. As a side note, I'm typing this on an ancient Acer computer in my wife's office. My almost new, state of the art computer went down on Saturday afternoon with a blue screen of death! It not only took my main way of communicating with you guys, but also all of last week's work for Sunday morning and for a presentation I was to give on Monday night in a neighboring town. And I'm still paying on it! But luckily it was still under the manufacturer's warranty and so it's on it's way back to the builder. Fun stuff. I'm going to be very limited and uncomfortable communicating for 2 or 3 weeks, but hopefully they will get it fixed for me. Fun stuff, being a "meister." You never know what's going to happen. Now let's hope this very feeble wireless signal will be able to get this post to all of you. With my fingers, toes & eyes, firmly crossed, here goes. Take care BB
breambuster 0 Report post Posted February 23, 2017 Well all I can say is, leave it to Jburge to take an old, basic pattern that we have been tying since day one and make it look wonderful. Puts every PT nymph I have ever tied to shame. So, they are all in. I MAY have a chance to sort them out tonight. No promises. My wife and I leave in the morning to go out of town for the weekend. "Business" trip. IF I have time in the morning, I will TRY to get them to the Post Office. Again, no promises. Pictures will definitely have to wait until next week. I will be posting the "Guides Choice Swap With A Twist" as soon as I can after I get these in the mail. I will post here as soon as I do to let you know the swap is open for sign ups. I think this will be the last of my "Twist" swap for now. I don't have any plans for a third one. It's not a series or a swap club. I'm looking forward, though, to the Guides Choice. I think I have some really neat patterns that will make a great box. Take Care BB

If you are not busy enough already, my swap is not filled and we are looking for mid-sized streamers, buggers, and such. Especially some with a fresh/salt crossover appeal. We have awesome tiers registered and some true stars (FAMOUS) providing the wild cards that EVERY Enrollee will get from me. Dang, I just realized I filled the Swap, myself. Naw, the More the Merrier although we may close it on 3-1-17 so some Internationals know their counts right away. Your ideas on Swaps are great, so Carry On
breambuster 0 Report post Posted February 24, 2017 Hey guys. Just a quick word to let you know that the flies are in the mail. Some of you should begin to receive them by the middle of next week. I will be posting the Guides Choice swap next week. Most of them have a video associated with them. Others will just have a materials list, but if you know, for instance, how to tie a parachute and have the materials list, you should be good to go. A few of them were invented for Southern waters, I think, but must have become known elsewhere. You will see what I'm talking about next week. Stay tuned for further details.
