Are sinkholes covered by insurance in FL?

They probably sell sinkhole insurance, but haven't inquired as for 19+ years didn't need flood insurance yet the insurance company now wants to sell flood insurance, but if you should need to file a claim for flood it has to go thru FEMA regulations. Apparently man made flooding is only covered in that "do your job, but don't do too much of it" provision of the county building code since haven't found any emergency management regulation & doubt there will be much on that "2 wrongs make a right or rite" so if one landscaping error causes flooding, two landscaping errors can cause a sinkhole; which evidently falls under another county department job description & who knows who is in charge of that federally...........

You can purchase sinkhole insurance which covers if you have a sinkhole on your property or under your house that does minor damage. That insurance is expensive.

Now my insurance without sinkhole coverage still covers catastrophic damage, so if my house was damaged over x amount of dollars its covered.
