My Mop style fly similar to yours for bream and bass.

Fished in ponds I usually get hit when it first smacks the water or when retrieve fast enough to keep it close to the surface (this keeps it free from vegetation and algae.)

I think they associate it with dragonfly nymphs on the retrieve or diving adults when it first smacks.

Nymphs occur with mottled patterns in a variety of colors including green, brown, and yellow.

The nymphs use jet propulsion to swim rapidly by shooting water out their abdomen!

Wacky worms are one of my favorite spin fishing lures so why not try a wacky worm fly. Tied on a piece of 50lb mono.

wanted to tie up something big and ugly with lots of movement to try and call up once of the real big bass in my buddy's pond.
