Probably a leader twister; this one's just for fun. hook - Dai Riki 300 #10 thread - UTC 140 yellow tail - woodduck flank abdomen - tying thread rib - brown hackle stem thorax - dubbing dirty yellow wing - partridge hackle - brown mash barb, start thread, wrap to point above barb prep woodduck measure (hook length+), trim out center section; tie in/trim prep 2 well-marked partridge feathers; strip fluff from stems, measure (hook length), tie in at ¾ mark (convex-to-convex), set angle with thread wraps strip fibers off a brown hackle, moisten, tie in rib abdomen to 2/3 mark with hackle stem; tie off/trim, SHHAN tie in hackle at 2/3 mark dub thread/dub thorax wrap hackle, tie off/trim, half hitch x 2, SHHAN trim out underside of hackle Regards, Scott Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
