SBPatt 0 Report post Posted August 15, 2017 Found this in Trout Flies of the West. Original extended body was tied with deer hair spun on a core of non-tox which seems a bit counter-intuitive; switched to mono core and dubbing loop-spun deer instead. hook Dai Riki 280 #8 thread - UTC 140 yellow core - 20lb mono abdomen - deer hair dyed yellow underwing - squirrel tail wing - pheasant church window feather head - deer hair dyed yellow legs - medium rubber cornsnake mash barb, start thread at 60% mark; put a loop in a piece of mono, brush with Super Glue, tie in, hook the loop in the gallows wrap up the mono (gap width past bend); make a loop clean, trim a clump of deer hair, insert in clip, trim ends insert clip into loop, release, spin wrap down the mono core, stroking fibers back repeat loop sequence as necessary; finish up at 2/3 mark on the hook, tie off/trim trim to shape; trim mono move thread to eye; clean, stack, measure (shank length) a clump of deer hair; trim to length 2 soft loops around the butts, pull tight and let it spin clean, stack, measure (tips to butt) a clump of squirrel tail; tie in/trim coat pheasant feather with Sally, stroke to shape as it dries; tie in/trim push deer hair back making sure it surrounds the hook pull deer hair to the rear, capture with thread wraps; pull tight add legs trim out deer hair underneath whip finish, SHHAN Regards, Scott

Hatchet Jack 0 Report post Posted August 15, 2017 Yes, I've been wondering about this too. Could someone please comment? On my computer, I see "Please update your account blah-blah-blah...." on a grey square which also contains a 100% 'speedometer' type image. So.......is this my computer or is it the outside world? (I've become a computer Luddite and am rather of proud of that)

mikechell 0 Report post Posted August 15, 2017 This has been discussed, ad nausea, on another thread. As I understand it ... Photobucket is now requiring a membership fee to post your photos on another site. I guess you can still store your photos there, and retrieve them. But, you can't use the site to post photos directly to another site for free anymore.

SBPatt 0 Report post Posted August 16, 2017 As Mike said, it's a Photobucket issue. I've started downloading my new pics to Flikr and will see how much of a pain it is to migrate at least some of the older stuff from PeeBucket. Sorry about that folks. Regards, Scott
SBPatt 0 Report post Posted August 16, 2017 Fixed this one, but it was a bit labor intensive/time consuming to transfer to Flikr and then edit the photo links. Don't plan on doing this on a regular basis so older SBSs won't be viewable unless PB has a change of heart; don't hold your breath waiting for that to happen. Rocco 0 Report post Posted August 16, 2017 SBPatt, Some very good thinking went into that one! Some other uses -- dragon flies etc -- leap to ind.
mikechell 0 Report post Posted August 16, 2017 Unfortunately, the PhotoBucket thing also applies to all previously posted pictures. So any picture anyone has posted to any site is now showing just that warning box. I am so glad I never put my pictures there.
Bimini15 0 Report post Posted August 16, 2017 Sorry to hear that Photobucket bit. SBPatt makes amazing SBS posts and it is a shame that older ones can't be seen.
Moshup 0 Report post Posted August 17, 2017 Thanks Scott for posting and for posting all your SBS in the past. They were great. It would be a shame not to view those in the future. Lots of effort went into them.
