hopperfisher 0 Report post Posted May 29, 2021 Here's mine...we live in a 1 bed/1 bath house...no room for a dedicated area or even a second end table...this one folds back and becomes my end table when not tying...one pattern at a time, not enough room to spread out materials, keeps me organized...plus, the couch is really comfy! Who can guess how my vise is attached? PM with your answer so you don't give it away!
hopperfisher 0 Report post Posted May 29, 2021 Noahguide got it! here's the other pics...also, it's connected to 1/2" ply for the base, that's pinned under the couch for stability...one pic of it folding back and the other in full side table mode...All from some scrap wood from work and a generously donated (from my wonderful wife) bamboo cutting board
niveker 0 Report post Posted May 30, 2021 Looks great, very clever. Like the gutter around the edge of the board, must come in handy when using beads.
hopperfisher 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2021 Thanks niveker! I only get a couple hours a week to tie so I'm still working out some bugs (so to speak) on it. Yeah, the gutter is a pretty sweet feature...came free with the cutting board 😎! I'm not tying with beads at the moment, but I do use the gutter to hold the tiny little cap from the UV resin nozzle (about the size and shape of a mouse turd). I think I'm gonna find a wooden TV tray, remove the top and put it in place of the cutting board for a bit more room.
