Guest Report post Posted November 8, 2017 Catgut Caddis Pupae This is my first time tying this kind of fly. I think that this shall go through more evolution before it is complete. Material list: Underbody: Yellow thread. Body: Squirrel fur dubbed on catgut. Hackle: Sparse white partridge. Hotspot: Yellow thread. This fly could definitely have turned out better, but I think that it is a promising design. Catgut Caddis Pupa Catgut Caddis Pupa wet Thoughts or recommendations are appreciated. mikechell 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2017 Henry Denson ... there's another member, Lucian, who is one of the top notch tiers on this site. He ties catgut caddis like yours. The only difference I see is that the butt end of the body isn't tapered ... it just "ends". Other than that ... yours is a good looking bug, and it looks great wet, too.
