harleyhunter 0 Report post Posted December 3, 2017 First try at a Rhyacophila Larva by Oliver Edwards My ribbing is a bit off on this one. Will be more mindful moving forward.
JoeBillingsley 0 Report post Posted December 3, 2017 Very nice job. Many of his patterns, like this one, are tough to tie. Great patterns, but difficult. Well done! Joe
steve sparkie 0 Report post Posted December 3, 2017 Haley if that's a first attempt you have done very well you need to work on the taper of the body and slightly build up the head of the of the lava keep going practice the taper of the body and thorax as these type of flies are not easy with practice of different fly patterns lots of luck with your future tying enjoy it Steve Sparkie
harleyhunter 0 Report post Posted December 4, 2017 I love the style of Oliver Edwards. I have two copies of his book, all his dvds, and even his interview with me for Hatches (once a magazine here) all hand written by him too. I will keep all those pointers in mind and practice with them!
