Mike West 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2017 Thx for hosting Nick. I have to say I was the little kid that snuck downstairs every year with a razor blade and opened all my packages and retaped them. Never got caught. Ill try to wait 😉
mikechell 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2017 Wife and I buy what we want when we want it ... within a budget. So, this time of year isn't "special" to us. We don't celebrate it. Although, we do go over to Mom-n-law's house to eat a nice meal ... Pretend we're praying with her before we eat, etc.
Bimini15 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2017 Ill try to wait I was the kind that could not wait but would not open them either. My thing was to find out where they were hidden BEFORE they were wrapped. If that failed, I would examine the package for size, weight, rattle, etc... and guess. I was pretty good at it! I am pretty sure this one has some flies

Bugsy 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2017 I have to say I was the little kid that snuck downstairs every year with a razor blade and opened all my packages and retaped them. Never got caught. Ill try to wait 😉 Ho-Ho-Ho Mike, you just brought back a distant memory. I did that. Once. I think it was when I was 12 and had learned my mom's wrapping technique. My sister may have been my accomplice that year. Only opened a few to see if I was getting what I hoped for. Mom didn't know but she had long before warned me that peeking would ruin the surprise. She was right. Never had the slightest desire to do it again. Just went back to shaking packages.

Fisherboy0301 0 Report post Posted December 19, 2017 Mine came in. I hope nothing is messed up. USPS must've been pretty rough. Several tears in the bubble mailer envelope. Looked like things had pushed into the side hard enough to tear it. Eagerly awaiting Christmas Eve now as it's wrapped and under the GF and I's tree. (Doing Christmas Eve with her, then heading home for Christmas morn at my parents house)
vicrider 0 Report post Posted December 19, 2017 Still waiting on my gift from Santa. Hope they didn't get lost in mail. It's like Christmas Story everyday checking the mail Hang in there Wetsock. It shouldn't take the two months that L'il Dave did last year but they are on there way. Kind of a convoluted story on yours. Your name in my address book is directly below Will's since I alphabetized by board name. I think I put his address on yours and his. Okay, that's only part of it. My wife got a call while I was out that the PO in Reedsville PA had a Christmas package with no address label, just my return address. If I knew who it was going to they'd address it and send it to them instead of the wasted time in sending it back. Okay, great. I gave them Will's information and package went out. That same day Will put on board he'd received his. UH OH. He opened it and it was yours. He was good enough to go to PO but they wouldn't use same package so he put the whole thing in a box and sent it on it's way to you. Now I'm afraid those labels I used might not have stuck to packages as well as they should and hope nobody else lost theirs. I have all the shipping #s saved and can look them up if someone doesn't get theirs within next few days. Your shipping # from Will is 9505 5104 1962 7352 0397
Flat Rock native 0 Report post Posted December 19, 2017 vic, a little worried here that Trouta-Control was later than mine, usually I am last to receive in Every Swap previously, but not this one hope the Elf on Shelf did not nab them!
vicrider 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2017 Trouta-Control, I'll call the Birmingham PO tomorrow and see if I can get info on your package. Your tracking # shows it got to your PO but not deliverable due to problem with address. I'm afraid it got there with zip code and then label came off. I'm kicking myself for not throwing over a clear tape on every label when I was a little worried. I'll see if I can straighten it out. If not my return addy should be there to get package back anyway. If that happens it would end up a New Years present instead. I will make good on a gift box for you though one way or the other. Hope I don't get others like this. 9500114825567342045067
