Brrrrr...! How low can you go?

Recommended Posts

What a great day to be out on the ice. 35 degrees, low wind, sunny, and 8" of ice. Ice was safe yet not miserable to hand drill through. The fishing was off but managed 8 perch. Time to eat.

i am now going on my fourth day of no propane

i have used the companies "contact us" web page and left numerous messages

i have made phone calls only to get their non existant answering service (sunday)

i made 2 phone calls on monday only to get a reply that they'll notify the dispatcher

i made a personal appearance at their office yesterday asking/begging for a propane delivery only to be told i was the 19th person on the delivery list. and that never happened

so it was another night of running 2 electric heaters. my electric meter must be spinning at 12000 rpm

flytire you need to elect for automatic delivery that is the only way I know of that sends them out to fill you in a timely manor (their fault). the law is on their side unless you are disabled (and you still have to pay a emergency service fee) and no other company can service their tanks.

thats the thing. i have been on automatic delivery since 2008 when i bought my home

i was even scheduled for delivery in mid december but something happened and the necer delivered

i called another company and they will not deliver to another companies tanks

i could buy some empty tanks and then have a choice of propane companies fill them

everything is golden now. furnace is running and house is getting warm.

37 degrees at Crazy Woman Liquors at 330 pm. No wind, calm on ice ,the fishers had no Yellow Perch on ice. Dog exercised. Eagle, deer, bovines. Clear Creek will fish if it hits 50 this week, as forecast.

That is an awesome name for a liquor store. I love it! Dropped some animals off in Montana to be skinned for fur once and the lady proprietors proudly wore shits called the skinning bitches. One to two dollars per hide.

Brutally cold up here the last couple of days. Expected to hit below -40C with the wind tonight

Glad to hear you finally got fuel, Flytire. I've been recalling your predicament often, while the site was off, and wondering how you were doing.

Glad to hear all is now well.

Bunch of Sissy’s

I grew up where it would hit -30/-40 zero every year.. not counting the wind.

It usually ranked in the top 10 most clodest places in the United States.

And where was this? California,it’s not all palm trees and sand beaches.

And then we rode snowmobiles that did 60-80 MPH. I’ve seen people in San Diego dressed like they were in Alaska when it’s

50° and I’m in my flip-flops sleeveless T-shirt and shorts.

You can call me a sissy all day long. When it comes to the cold, I'm proud to be one. biggrin.png

I grew up where it got cold every winter, too. But I am a child of technology. Damn proud to say I can pay for a house with a heater, a car with a heater and a stack of cloths to put on when I am walking from one to the other. tongue.png

You can be proud of your neanderthal resistance to cold. dry.png I'll be proud of my evolution into modern day homes. wub.png

I'll deal with the cold if technology fails in my lifetime ... which it won't. wink.png

CBS TV news in Fort Myers, FL has issued freeze warnings two days ahead instead of just tomorrows overnight low. Looks as if there's going to be another fish kill......
