mikechell 0 Report post Posted February 14, 2018 Last night's fly tying meet at Cabela's. We tied a couple "Roadkill Skunk Streamers". Basically, they're buggers tied with Guinea fowl feathers instead of hackle. "Roadkill Skunks" because of the black, white and red colors.

mikechell 0 Report post Posted February 14, 2018 Thank you, Denduke and Sandan. They're size 10 hooks. I can only hope the optimist are right, and big fish will eat these little things. I'm expecting a bumper crop of half dollar sized sunfish on them !!! But I just have to keep trying.

mikechell 0 Report post Posted February 15, 2018 I wish I could remember the man's name who did the presentation, BCT. He was trying variations on wooly buggers when he came up with that pattern. He says that fly accounted for the majority of his catches last year. (Mostly trout)
