vicente 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2018 Â If you want to get a fluffier larger dubbing brush vs a rope like one I've found it helps to put the dubbing on the loop careful not to go to thick and then trim each side back a bit to cut off any long pieces that go through the loop twice. Sandan 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2018  I was approached to tie some mysis shrimp for someone via IntheRiffle. We get these request all of the time and usually turn them down because it is just not worth the time. This one was a bit unusual in that they wanted them sized up to a size #10. Previously I had gone up to a #14 or #12. To keep things in proportion you also have up size your materials. I had to go to Standard Tubing, Boar's hair for the intestinal tract and antennae and a larger clump of Flourofiber for the legs.I also had to use a different pair of hemo's to crimp the abdomen to get a better spaced segmentation. Threading the boar's hair thru the tubing was a challenge. It took a lot of saliva and dubbing wax to get the BH to come to a point so I could thread it thru. The smaller shrimp is tied on a TMC 2487-#18. The larger shrimp is on a TMC 2457 #10. He wanted the heavier hook to fight 6-8 lb. steelhead in heavy current. It was a bit of a challenge. What do you think? Kimo  Holy sh!t, those are nice. I have to thank you for taking up intheRiffle for your tarcher style nymph too
