I'm upset because none of your photos show up for me any more? Using Photobucket? They blocked it now at work.

Love the clown shoe. one of my favorites

I've never really liked using trout flies for panfish because I don't think they're durable enough, but the clown shoe is murderous on shallow panfish.

Saw reference to this fly on a few forums yesterday and had to tie it. While it's listed as an easy tie, for a beginner it's good practice in that you need to select 2 of the same sized feathers from 2 different capes and you have to be careful when you palmer it and whip finish so you don't mash down the barbules.

Kimo,

I really like the design of your last fly, but what are the black fibers in the thorax - just can't figure it out.

Thanks,

Doug
