Mike West 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2018 OK So if anybody cares I spent time on the phone with St. Croix,Loomis and Sage again...none of them will budge on blanks or colors. I bounced some emails with Mike McFarland about his Ameriglass Big Game Rods...7’ 10” 8wt. I was really leaning towards a carbon rod for this but after hearing this blank only weighs 2.4 ounces and it’s other attributes I’m sold. This will be my battle axe Bass rod. Mike West 0 Report post Posted May 17, 2018 Well I worked out a trade with Mr McFarland for a Big Game 7 10 8wt in brown and an UL 5 10 1-4lb test 2 piece spinning rod for my brother as a surprise to replace his beloved rod that got broken when he came out here to fish with me.
