September Flies From the Vise

Recommended Posts

@ Kimo or anyone, maybe a dumb question, what or who is Tarcher? I get that the style is upside down, looks more wiggly, but Google didn't help with more info than that...

Tarcher Fatty

Trying to get a bit more "breadth" into my flies and stay in proportion

without losing too much gape.

@ chugbug. Tarcher did a contribution of the pheasant tail Nymph which I tie and fish with great results in NJ. Kimo is utilizing his style but it all started from Ken. Tarcher used a klinkhammer and or emerger hook then put patterns on it to give great profile and movement. The true Tarcher is basically a mid to low fly fished in mid currents. Wire is needed heavier the better.

Tarcher is the guys name. He fishes Colorado with Ken and AK Best. He was inspired by Ken and did a Nymph that is a variation of an American pheasant tail. If you want to see him you can find him in a video called designed to deceive on YouTube.
