fshng84 0 Report post Posted October 9, 2018 Had fun the other day fishing for little Bluegill and Sunfish using midge patterns and nymphs with the Micro Fly Rod. Was trying for the smallest of fishes but hooks were too large to catch the little fingerlings in the local pond. Put an order in with TenkaraBum for some micro fishing hooks - sizes 26 and 30. While waiting for the order, decided to take the smallest hook in the fly tying box and tie a couple of Micro Fishing Flies. Simple pattern - antron fibers, UV Glue, and the hook. That's it! Below is the quick tie demo of the Micro Fishing Fly in the "large size" - size 22 dry fly hook.
