Bonefish bugs...

Recommended Posts

For any who've missed it... I got a bit carried away and did two pages on bonefish patterns over on the fly tying board... It should have been here - but I was responding to someone's questions...

Let me know what you think...

I started to read that, Capt. dry.png

But I'm not into bonefish flies enough ... I guess. I lost track and quit reading.

Great work, as always. I admire the consistency, economy of tying and just obvious high quality of your work.

Nice. The only one I've tied is the Crazy Charlie. Somewhere I have one I tied on a size 20 hook, I think it's in my trout box. No bonefish around here unless you count carp. All except the crab flies would make excellent pan fish flies, the Crazy Charlie works really well. Don't fish much for carp, but those flies would work for them.

As usual I got a bit carried away... my contribution starts at reply #6 - and just goes on and on.....

Whenever I do get carried away I end up talking to myself afterwards -but it's never helped...

Bob,

Everything in your post about bonefish flies was helpful. I, for one, am glad you got carried away, and hope you do so again sometime soon.
