The Mad Duck 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2019 I'm working on some special flies for "Casting For Recovery",which is a charity that sets up retreats for women that have Breast Cancer,or have survived Breast Cancer. I had an aunt that died a couple of years ago that was the bravest person I ever had the honor of knowing. In her lifetime, she fought cancer on 5 different occasions before passing due to Brain Cancer. Her first 2 bouts of cancer were Breast Cancer and in the 70's Breast Cancer wasn't as treatable as it is now. Anyway. Breast Cancer Awareness has always been near and dear to my heart, due to my Aunt. I sat and tried to figure out a special fly for the Casting For Recovery portion of this donation,so......Pink Maribou and Crystal Flash tail,Pink Mop body, a spun Deer Hair head and a piece of Pink Chenille tied on to represent a Breast Cancer Awareness Ribbon all tied on a #2 Mustad SS hook.
