St Croix fly rods

Recommended Posts

This is how incorrect information is distributed. St Croix continues to sell Imperial and Mojo fly rods.

I just called St. Croix. They quit selling blanks to builders, but continue to make finished fly rod outfits to sell.

I meant to say to to fly rod builders in my previous post. Sorry.

Years ago, I built a ton of rods on St. Croix blanks, both fly and spin. I used to make an annual trip to Park Falls, WI every year to replenish my stock of blanks and search through their blems. They really ticked a lot of people off when they changed their warranty policies and didn't grandfather in those rods and rod blanks that were purchased beforehand which were purchased with a lifetime warranty. My guess why they are discontinuing many of their blanks is because if now the entire rod is built overseas, then there is no reason to ship just blanks alone back here. There are much better companies now to do business with as far as I'm concerned. JMO
