You'll have to fish that scud, Retro. Let me know if it works. Yours look much better, but they say ugly flies catch fish, so if yours work ... mine should, too!

Usually depicted as olive in color; all the ones I’ve seen (in western Montana) have been more a shade of dirty motor oil.

thread - Danville 6/0 black

tag - UTC 140 black

wing(s) - deer hair

body - dubbing grayish olive brown

hackle - grizzly dyed brown

Another variant of Barry Ordes gammarus shrimp
#10 B110 kamasan hook
.015 lead Free wire spiral wrapped then coated with solarez thick
Red veevus thread to highlight
Coated again with solarez thick
To get shape
Then used solarez thin on the underside then applied
UV-X rainbow dubbing in olive.. lightly before setting with UV light
