Yes, I do. I got them because I was tying down to 26 - 28 for flies for the San Juan. I didn't have as much access to the back of the hook with the regular jaws.

Haven't gone above #2. I just make sure I go deeper into the jaw to clamp the hook.

Kimo, you fish the Juan? Do you live out that way? I lived in New Mexico for a while and worked at a fly shop on the San Juan. Just wondering if we ever met. You come into float n fish ever?

Got a case of the shack nasties (even though it hit 55 today and I took a 7 mile hike/bird walk) so I started tying summer flies.

 

hook – WFC Model 28 #10

thread - UTC 140 hot pink

core - 8lb mono

tail - moose body hair

body/head - 1mm foam pink

legs - barred medium rubber

hackle - grizzly

wing - Congo Hair white
