SBPatt 0 Report post Posted February 22, 2020 A bit more involved than the foamies; I will cry when I lose this one. hook - WFC Model 28 #10 thread - UTC 140 chartreuse core - 8lb mono underbody - moose body hair body - deer hair dyed olive wing - Congo Hair black hackle - grizzly dyed chartreuse Make a loop in a length of mono Brush shank with Super Glue; start thread/tie in mono Clean/stack a clump of moose hair; trim butts/tie in Hook loop end of mono onto gallows Wrap up the mono and back; trim tips just above last wrap Unhook loop; tie in a clump of CH Post it up; tie in hackle (shiny side out) Clean, stack, measure (butts past end of underbody) a clump of deer hair Trim butts, tie in at eye with 2 soft loops Increase tension, let it spin Push the hair back, evenly distributing around shank Pull the hair back; tie down at base of wing Cross wrap to back side of wing base Hook loop back onto gallows; continue wrapping up the core And back to base of wing Start first wrap of hackle at the top of the post, continue down to body Tie down hackle with wraps at base of wing Half hitch x2 (at base), SHHAN, trim hackle tip, trim out mono Trim wing Regards, Scott Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
