I do use a lot of ivory in knife making, hair is another thing entirely. It's very hard to come by, it's expensive and doesn't go very far unless you use it on flies. Mammoth hair is a thousand times more expensive than ivory.

I washed the material to make it easier to tie with, it's much better now.

Woolly Mammoth Booger. I gave them both "tusks" of biots, just cuz it seemed like they should have tusks.

I'm trying to think of our most ancient fish species up here. Most of them are pretty young. We don't have anything like Gar, snakeheads and paddlefish. I suppose the most prehistoric we have would be burbot.
