Muddled X2 Caddis

Was watching Charlie Craven’s X Caddis video and liked the full head he put on it; just took it a little bit further and added rib/synth wing.

hook - WFC Model 3 #12
thread - Veevus 8/0 tan
shuck - Zelon gold
rib - Mirage Flash opal
body - ostrich herl bleached 
wing - Congo Hair shiner tan
collar/head - deer hair

Here is my Royal Wulff. It got chewed up when my vise locked up and I couldn't get it out but I'll fish it and see how long it lasts. I wasn't feeling the white calf tail so I tied in yellow calf tail instead. Looks much much better then when I tried last time.

I was thinking the same thing. I took the lazy way and used a hackle I had laying around next time I will use more effort. Thanks for the kind words!

Added a partridge softhackle to Planettrout’s X2 Caddis for a little extra bugginess.

Yeah almost identical, besides the hot spot at the tail.  Man Davey is so good.  Thanks for showing me that.  I can see where I made mistakes.  Lol!!!    Here is the pic I was given to go off of.

The body rib on this was tough.  4 different materials all spaced out together to give the look of a gradation ribbing.  I didn’t have quills in Orange...  lol!  I made my own
