I hate to waste anything so I tied a fly with some of it. The cat, Max, is kind of a woolly bugger so that's what I tied. I think I'm going to have to take that cat to the vet. The Maxy Booger. It's a biggun, the cat and the fly. The fly is three inches long, the cat, it's just big. The tail and dubbing are Max, the hook, hackle and bead were strays on the bench. I did something similar with fur from our Golden Retriever (since deceased). I made a woolly bugger called, appropriately enough, the golden retriever. Everybody's tying really good stuff the last couple of months. Lovin' the Mini Hots Scott but I really keep going back to that chartreuse one. I haven't gotten into foamies yet but that mini hopper is really good, Mcfly and that midge makes ME want to bight it, Kimo. That's really good. Thanks! I would suggest grizzly hackle tip wings as less bulky- and therefore easier to use- and more true to the original pattern.
