May Flies From the Vise

Recommended Posts

As always, great flies by everybody.

@Julius Riffle - that's a beaut, you should heve entered that into the trout jig swap.

@RickZieger - nice flies.  Are you free-wheeling with some of those, or do you have a name/pattern with #3 &5.

@denduke - those look like great crappie flies for my local lake.

niveker.  The third is called a half and half.  Basically a fullback with hackle legs.

The last is a Thief variation. I used congo hair instead of squirrel hair under the turkey wing and made the wing much thinner as it works for me.

Hi Everyone,

I've been lurking around the forum for a couple months now, so I figured it was time to post something. I love seeing all the really talented tiers and designers work on here along with all the other great information. I've tied off and on for a few years, but have really hit it hard the last 3-4 months and am improving with both my tying and design skills.(my tying still leaves a lot to be desired!)

These are some of my favorites I've tied this month.

Not my video, but a very good one.
I'm just playing with materials and technique
in terms of applying materials to the framework
using from feathers from different birds to get a specific effect.
In this case Pheasant Tail Rump and Hen Backs.
